- There were not many doctors in ancient Ireland. The only means the people had for getting cures were from Quacks. The people were stronger and healthier then.
When they were ill they usually went to bed and sent for a Quack. On his arrival he found out from the patient what he was suffering from and applied a cure.
Sometimes he got herbs and boiled them with water and gave the liquid to the patient to drink That was the cure for a bad cold or pleurisy.(continues on next page)- Collector
