    working with him. Martin has left off school about three years and has his trade well learnt now. The forge is about a quarter of a mile outside the Village and about three hundred yards from a cross roads. Mr. Traynor made pikes like those of ninety- eight for the Redmondite Volunteers in 1913. Mr. Traynor has one brother working in the forestry. He lives in Killmalone. The Traynors have been smiths for generations. Both smiths work from morning until night especially on a fair day.
