    family names most common are Harte and Bolger. There are big families in most of the houses. There are about a fifty people in Johnstown. Some people went to America. There are no old ruins where their houses once stood but the old people point out the sites near the village.
    These people went to America in the time of the landtrouble and their lands were taken by the landlord.
