In this district the names given to various coins are "Bob" they call a shilling, "Tanner" a sixpence, "Quid" is the name given to a pound, and "Cats eye" they call a three penny piece.
Some coins are gone out of use. Long ago it was nothing unusual to see a five shilling piece a half sovereign and a sovereign but they are not to be found nowadays. There are no stories of coins which always returned to the owner.
