It was composed about 20 years ago. The poet is now in America. There are several other local songs. Some of them were composed by Frank Mac Avitty, Altcrock (still living in Scotland) and James Maguire Gowlan, (dead a short time).
The best known are "John Sheridan's Rick", "Dinah Donohue's Spree".
