    When she was going into her house he shot her and she died. A long time ago butter used to be taken. People used to twist a rope and say
    '' Come half to me.
    Come half to thee. ''
    That was the way that they took butter. This was the way that people whose butter was taken, found out who took it.
    They put nine irons into the fire, and shut windows and doors
    Then who ever took their butter came up to the door screaming and asked them to take the irons out of the fire. It is said that they are in hell when bringing back the butter. One time a farmers' butter used to be taken. One day an old man came into this farmer's house, and they prepared a meal
