    It is said to be unlucky to get married on Saturday.
    "If you marry in Lent you live to repent"
    "If you marry in May you "rue" the day"
    It is said to be unlucky to go near water on Whitsuntide.
    "Saturday's flitting makes a short sitting"
    If Garlic is planted on Good Friday there is a cure for the cold in it.
