    Hiccough: If a girl named Mary gets a pinch of salt on the tip of the finger and puts it on the patient's tongue saying "In the name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy ghost" the hiccough will be cured.
    Mumps: Put the bridle on the child's back and lead it through water 3 times making the sign of the bross each time.
    Hoarseness: boil house leek in milk and drink the liquid.
    Sprain: Get 10 threads. Put a knot on the ends of each and tie them all around the sprain. Leave on for 7 hours and off for 7 hours day and night. The cure of the sprain is made by Mrs Bacom Mill St Swanlinbow. Co Cavan.
    Sting on the eye: Get 10 goooseberry thorns point 9 of them to the eye and throw the 10th across your shoulder.
    Wildfire: Trace a gold ring round the spot or mark it with a burnt coal.
    Whitlow: Mrs Wallace Moher Kinawley makes the cure of the whitlow. She makes up an ointment which is used as a poultice
