The robin builds her nest in a moss ditch. Any one who touches the robin's nest they are cursed because the robin got his red breast from the drops of blood from our Saviour. - Bird lore. 28-3-'38
The birds that are most common are, Rooks, sparrows, wrens, swallows and the robins. Most of them migrate. The birds that migrate are the cuckoo, swallows and corncrake. The wild geese go to the bog of Allan and in winter they go to the highlands in Scotland. The people know when we are going to have a snow-storm they leave the Bog of Allan and goes to Scotland. When we are going to have a storm the crows gather together in large numbers and makes noise. When the swallows fly high it is a good sign. Here are where some of the birds make their nests.
