    On St. Brigid's day a cross is made to prevent accidents of thunder and lightning. It should be made from straws kept from the crib.

  2. About half a mile from my home there is a pretty little wood which is called "Phula Phoka". I often visit the place to gather nuts, slows, blackberries, and the beautiful wild flowers which seem to be no place else so pretty. It is situated in a low lying district with hills on eigther side and if you visited this spot in the evening you would say
