- An eel is a very nice fish to eat, it is a long thin fish with a small head, small eels are called elvers and you have not to use any grease when frying as it contains oil.
It haunts ore or less the shore in the day time round about stones but at night they go out into deep water.
The food which the eel eats is mostly worms water fleas and small animals. They first live in fresh water in the lake then they go back to salt water in the sea and stop eating then.
The methods of catching eels are in cages, with a hook fastened to a line and a worm on the hook. These are all set during night. A spear is used to stick them in the day time(continues on next page)- Collector
