  1. In olden times people used to make candles of rushes. First the rushes were pulled and then dried and the skin taken off them. Grease of bacon or butter or goose seam is put in a grisset. the rushes were then dipped in it and were left to season and dry.
    James McEnroe used to make baskets out of sallies and sell them to the neighbours.
    Bartle Galligan Dungimmon makes gates, ploughs, spades, slanes and horse shoes.
    Gerrard Gibbon Dungimmon makes tubs out of barrels and he also makes churns.
