  1. In the famine times there was an old hospital named Turen between Mt. Nugent and Kilnaleck for curing the people. When they would die they would carried away in a cart and trown into a hole and they not fully dead.
    The potatoes failed and they rotted in the ground.
    There were a lot of people in Dungimmon before the famine, and a town was there. The roads were lined with houses. There were ten or twelve in Nicholas Sheridan's field
    The names of some of them who lived in in Nicholas Sheridan's field were Mr Gilsin and Mr Garry.
