  1. There is a holy well connected with St Bridget in Kelies lane, Oldcastle in a field of Sam O'Neill's.
    When you go to the well you knell down and say a prayer and any thing you ask for you will get, you have to leave a piece of cloth or any thing you like and leave it under a stone, but you are not to leave money or your request will not be given.
    There is a holy well at Karnaross which is called Kiern Well as it is connected with St Kiern and people from all over Ireland go for cures.
    You are supposed to go after twelve o'clock.
    People say that if you boil the water you will have no luck or if you interfere with it.
