- There is a hill over Raffney graveyard and it is said the Gráinne is buried on that hill. There are large stones marking the place and it is called leaba Gráinne up to the present day.
- One day a number of young boys started for Finn's camp to join the Fianna. They had to cross a river. If they swam or waded across their clothes would be wet and Finn would know they were afraid to leap across. So each one stuck his spear in the ground and they leaped across.
