  1. Local Songs (continued)

I am a roaring hackler that loves the shamrock shore

    (continued from previous page)
    Since he came to Grousehall.
    6
Down into hell he'd run pell -mell
    In search of Poteen there
He's not aloth to swear an oath
    'Twas found in Killinkere
He'll search your bed from foot to head
    Sheet, blanket, quilt & all
    And your wife undressed must
    leave her nest
    For Jemmy of Grousehall
    7
He fixed a plan for a poor man
    That has a handsome wife
    To take away without delay
    His liberty of life
He swore quite plain he was insane
    And had no sense atall
That, he has done of late with one
    Convenient to Grousehall.
