“There is a fort down in the wood called Kenny's Fort.”
There is a fort down in the wood called Kenny's Fort. It is said that a woman went one day to this fort to gather sticks. She saw some rotten ivy and she went to pull it down, when she heard a voice saying "Leave that there". She did not heed the voice, and was pulling it down again, when the voice spoke again. She looked round the fort to see if she could see anybody, but saw no one. She then got afraid and ran home and never came back to that fort again.- Collector
