He remember a family called Tackney's who in his time made linen. In this father's time there was a loom or two working in nearly every farm house.
At Simpsons mill at the Vale, Bailieboro woolen cloth was made. It was working till about thirty years ago. Very good tweeds were produced for 2/8 a yard for common wear. The very best tweeds were also produced- Informant
