  1. A Local Song

My doggie he is awful good

It was made by the late Mr Joe Lundie, one time he was sick, on his faithful dog.
    1.
My doggie he is awful good,
    He is a faithful friend,
He trips upstairs to see me,
And forsakes both hill and glen
    2.
He will kiss me and caress me,
    Through all his skillful plans,
And wish me to be well again,
To take him up to Dans.
    3.
For oft we would view that Modle farm.
    Where Johnnies flocks did lie.
And take a view of Hunters camp,
Where the hot bomb shells did fly.
