- We put in potatoes every year. We put in an acre each year in ridges.
My father prepares the ground for the potato crop each year. He ploughs the ground with a plough. Then he harrows and cultivates the ground. After that he opens the drills with a drill plough. When he has that done, he spreads the manure in the alleys, and drops the seed potatoes. lastly, he closes the drills.
When the potatoes come over the ground they are moulded. Some time after they are sprayed. Then they are dug and put in pits.

The people use spades which are bought in shops, when they are digging the potatoes- Collector
