    plough. The manure is then carted and spread between the drills. The seeds are then spread on the manure. Then the drills are split; half going to either side to cover the manure and seeds.
    Before the seed is planted the potatoes are cut small, but every piece of potato must have a "eye" from which the sprout comes. Cutting the seed is called "cutting sgiolláns".
