On May Eve - 30th April- the children go out to the fields and gather, primroses, daisies, buttercups and other wild flowers and settle them on the doorsteps and window sills of the houses and leave them there until the next evening. Sometimes they put a white-thorn bush outside the door and cover it with wild flowers. It is called a "May- Bush".
The first day of April is called "April Fool's Day." On this day people amuse themselves making fools of others, such as pretending that people want them ect. People are very cautious on this day about doing what they are asked. No one gets vexed when made a fool of.
