It is said that the village got its name from a big mill which was in it long ago. The village is in a valley and the land around is hilly and very fertile and it is good for wheat and all crops. The people go in for mixed farming. They rear cattle, pigs and fowl.
There is a good Hall in the village. It is used for entertainments, such as dances, concerts and pictures. There are four grocery shops and only one public-house.
