It is called "Noan wood," its size is about ten acres.There are no rivers or lakes in the townland but there is one stream, called "The Wash Brook stream." It runs through Brien's fields. There is a shout song about it called "The Wash Brook Riverside".
"And the speckled trout do sport about.
And the cuckoo's there reside.
In that lovely vale and shady dale.
