  1. St Senan is the patron saint of the parish Once he met a man looking for his horse. He prayed that the man should find his horse. The print of his knees are to be seen yet. The print of the horse's hoofs are on the rocks farther south. St Senan was born in Molougha. He worked many miracles and built many churches. There is a well called after St Senan
    He was building a church and a woman passed and did not say "God bless the work" and the men stopped work. He was born in the year 488 and died in they year 544.
