    Long ago people used cross by fords. Long ago people used cross through the mountain to Melleray from Ballymacarbery. There is also a short-cut fron the Beehive to Clonmel. There is a gap out near the Nire which people pass through from time to time, the name of it is Kilkeaney gap.
