- There is a fort on the top of a hill in the townland of Davagh. Two other forts can be seen from this fort. Both of these forts are in the townland of Dunmadigan.
The fort is of a circular shape. Trees once grew round it but the owner of the fort Mr. Peter Skinnader uprooted all of these. No bad luck befell him as result of this.
Music or the sound of churning was never heard in the fort. No person ever went in to explore the fort because it is a belief that it is not right to interfere with anything belonging to the fairies. The enterance to the fort is not known. It is supposed to be a tunnel and in the spring a spot in the hill becomes much greener than the rest of the hill. This spot is supposed to be the tunnel.- Collector
