- (continued from previous page)yard contains the tomb of Coote, a planter who came over to Ireland in the time of Cromwell.
- 5. There are five graveyards in this parish, two catholic ones and three Protestant ones. The names of the Catholic ones are Middle Chapel and Drumgoon graveyards. The Presbyterian, Meravain and Quakers graveyards are the Protestant ones. The Presbyterian and Quaker graveyards are in the town and Maravian graveyard is situated a mile from the town and it is three miles to Drumgoon graveyard.
All those graveyards are still in use. Drumgoon is round in shape. The churchyard is not level but slopes in a Southeasterly direction. There are trees growing round the churchyard. None of(continues on next page)- Collector
