County Clare. - The Hungry Grass.When a person gets the hungry grass he gets very hungry and weak .A person would get the hungry grass even after eating his meals.A man was coming from Ennis one evening and he got it.he hadn't anything to eat and he the lace out of his boot and began to chew it and the hungry grass went from him.It is said that there are certain places where this comes to a person .One time a woman got the hungry grass and nothing could take it from her only some kind of fruit which was in a garden near her house .This garden belonged to a witch and(continues on next page)
