    they would last for three or four years. Jim Barry's father was a shoemaker and Paddy Donaghue. The people would go to them and and would give their measure to them in a week or a fortnight they would get them. These shoes were very dear but they would last for three or four years. To walk in the dew in the morning would cure corns and welts.
    When feet are washed the feet water is thrown out but if their is any one out they say it is not right to throw out the water that you should not wash your feet until they come in.
    Old people say that you should never throw out feet water but to throw it into the ash-hole.
