  1. In olden times priests and nuns and also the people had to suffer a great lot of trouble. When a priest would be saying mass he would go off to some rock or ditch in which to say it for if any priest or nun would be caught at mass they were sure to be shot or killed.
    There is a rock in which a priest said mass and it is called the rock of Nicker it is situated in County Tipperary. There is also another rock in which mass was said, it is called the Moet of Noal.
