  1. It was an old custom for the young boys to go round from house to house on St. Stephens night collecting money and it is still done in this parish.
    First they get a wren, and small box, they then kill the wren and put it in to the box and when they are going out they bring it with them.
    Before they go they dress up in old clothes and put false faces on,
