  1. a fairy place at Liscarney.
One night around eleven o'clock a man named Edward Scahill of barramore was going home from our house in Lanmore. Just when he was going on towards Liscarney the horse started snoring and frightening. At this place on the road side it to supposed that something is seen. When he passed that place the horse galloped all the way home. He never liked to go that way again at night and he used to take another road home.
I heard this story from Edward Scahill, barramore, Westport, Co.Mayo
