    of that time but it generally dissolves in one night. When the Bluestone is dissolved, the people put 10 lbs of lime or washingsoda into a gallon or so of warm water, when it is dissolved, they mix it with the dissolved Bluestone and then they put the Bluestone and the lime into the 38 gallons that are in the barrel and they stir it round with a stick, then it is called "Spray" and it is ready to be put out on the stalk. Some people have a machine for spraying the potatoes called a Spraying "Machine" and others have no Spraying Machine so they have to spray them with "Beesum" or a Broommade from Heather.
