My father William Driscoll of Islandganniv, Listowel told me that the tinkers used to travel in a blue car and they used to have an ass pulling it. They used to travel from town to town begging as they would go and they used to sleep under the blue car at night. They would get a gwall of straw and lie down on it and cover themselves with a sack.
