    on Easter Sunday. When a person would kill fowl for St. Martins Day the would peg the blood against the jamb's of the doors of the house where he would be killed.
    Boxty bread was eaten by the people. It was made from potatoes and salt. It was nice to eat. The potatoes were scraped out with a piece of tin with holes in it and mixed with the salt. It was then baked
    The met which the people ate was salt meat. Fish was used also. The vegetables used were; Turnips, Cabbage, Parsnips
