    the country and into the town and from one town into another and he calls into the houses as he goes along the road looking for money and something to eat and he looks for work also and if he gets work he will only work for a couple of days and then he is off on the road again to the next farmhouse if he gets work in the next farm he will only wait for a few days and then he is off on the road again and so on. Most of the tramps have no houses of their own.
