    strong fellow. Many blacksmiths are farmers and other things besides blacksmiths. The blacksmiths can also make a tongs and always has one in the forge ready for his own use. When he wants to bend an iron he puts it in amonest a lot of red coals, and when the iron is red hot he taks it out with a tongs, and puts it on the anvil and he can bend it to any shape he likes. Sometimes it may be a horseshoe form some horse with a big hoof.
    A blacksmiths forge is a dirty place it is always full of smoke and the blacksmith himself is nearly always dirty
