Five stones are put on the road or field, one in each corner and one in the centre. A person is placed in the middle and four others at the other stones. The person in the centre is called the fool. The four persons in the corners change places with one another from time to time. While they are changing the fool tries to place his foot on any of the four stones before any of the others can reach it. The one that is left out has to take the fool's place in the centre. Another is blind-man's buff or púicín as it is sometimes called.
