    round. It is about twelve years old. Inside the churn there are little shelves of timber called dashers, - there is a round door in the churn which you would close when you put in the cream. The butter is made once a week in the Winter and twice a week in Summer if you have a large quantity. The men of the house that usually make the churn. If a stranger happens to come in while the churn is being made they will help to make it. It took hours to make in olden times but now when it is separated cream it takes about a hour or less
