Our place is situated in the townland of Newtown, Bodyke, Co. Clare. It is about two miles from Bodyke. There is a good view from our house because it is on the rise of a hill. It consists of eighteen acres and is divided in to two parts, the Island and the home ground. There are some old Irish names on some of them, The Meenge, the spring well hill and the long meadow and the field called Darby's field.
