    Saint Cronan is the patron Saint of this district.He had a monastery and a church in the island of Inis Uí Cronan.
    There are places called after him .The present parish which is called Crusheen is not its real name but Inchcronan.People are also called after Saint Cronan.The saint is buried in Tipperary in a town called
