    St Bridgets day falls on the first of February.The people make a small cross in honour of Bridget.it is usually made of a light piece of timber or straw.Then they put it up on one side of the roof.Some time ago the people used to dress up a big doll ,and go from house gathering money,andthe used call it the "Brigidh Óg".On Shrove Tuesday night it is a custom with the people to mak pancakes,and sometimes
