    skillans are spread ,and lastly the drills are closed,with a horse and plough or spade.About a month after they are "softened" and about the middle of June they are landed and sprayed twice or three times .The spray is made up of blue-atone washing-soda and water.
    Next they are ploughed ,or dug with a spade.Then they are picked and pited .The ploughed most common in this district are the iron ploughes and the wheel ploughes.
