    Saint Cronan is the patron Saint of this district. He had a monastry and a church in the Island. The Island is situated in the middle of the lake, which is called Inchicronan lake. Places are called after the Saint who resided there named Saint Cronan. The present parish which is called Crusheen, but that is not its real name. Its real name is Inchicronan parish.
