    Toothache: To put a black stocking that you wore that day around your head.
    Sore eyes: To look through a ring.
    Sore throat: To pull a black stocking around your neck and to have the heel of the stocking touching Adam's apple.
    Earache: To head brown wool to the fire and to put olive oil in it.
    Warts: The cure for a wart is to get the milk out of a dandelion and to put it on it. To get a snail and rub him on to it and then stick him on a blackthorn bush and as the snail would be withering the wart would be going.
