  1. The Penal Days were in existence about 359 years ago. They were very crule times in Ireland. They drove people out of their homes and drove then into the mountains and planted English settlers in their houses. They though to banish the catolics out of Ireland the priests werent allowed to say mass in any Church so that they had to say it in the mountain.
