  1. There are a few fairy forts in this district. They are called by the name of forts or raths.
    There is a fort in Danesfort in Hunts' field and there is another one at Pendy's Cross and there is another one at Longs gate. They are round in shape. There are two ditches around them.
    Long ago there was a trench of water around the forts to guard them. The fairies were supposed to be living in them long ago and there were lights seen and music heard. The owners of these forts never touch them because they are afraid of the fairies. I knew of a man
