(gan teideal) (ar lean)
“One night 3 men from Knockananna were coming from the Glen...”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)dressed in red coats & playing lovely music. When the men overtook them the road was covered with those little people as far as the eye could see. It was a pass word with the people at that time to say "Let them all come" so they said it & with that they all climbed on to the wheels & up on the horses back & on every part of the car where they could possibly sit.
At first the horse was going quickly but then it had to walk slowly till it came to a river & when the horse was just going to step into the river they all got off the car
When the men looked back they saw the little people going along the bank of the river & they playing their music.
