Allen Pollok's Estates about the Year 1800
CBÉ 0463
The poor catholic tenants evicted from their homes at Glynsk, Kilbegnet, Skahard, Creggs came on to Ballymoe and built themselves small huts on the outskirts of the bogs near Ballymoe, Tubber and Traduff near the Bridge of Ballanghayeague and Guilka. A number of these said ranches, in the hands of protestants for over 100 years were taken over by the C. D. Board divided up into small farms and given back to the descendants of the evicted tenants or to tenants adjoining these ranches.
